Welcome to LegalBillz Services. By accessing, registering, or using our website and services, you agree to be legally bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Nature of Services

LegalBillz Services provides an online digital platform enabling users to make utility bill payments, recharges, and related financial transactions through authorized third-party payment gateway partners and BBPS infrastructure. LegalBillz acts only as a facilitator of payment services and does not act as a bank, financial institution, wallet provider, or biller.

2. User Authorization & Consent

By initiating any transaction on the platform, the user expressly confirms that:

• The user is the lawful owner or authorized user of the payment instrument used.
• The user has verified bill details, amount, and biller information before making payment.
• The transaction is being performed voluntarily without coercion, fraud, or mistake.
• The user understands that bill payment services are digitally processed and instantly executed.

Electronic acceptance, OTP authentication, device usage, and system logs shall constitute valid legal consent and authorization under applicable Indian laws including the Information Technology Act, 2000.

3. Irreversible & Non-Cancellable Transactions

All successful bill payments and recharge transactions are final and irreversible in nature. Once a transaction is successfully processed through the payment gateway and acknowledged by the biller / BBPS system:

• Cancellation requests shall not be entertained.
• Refund requests shall not be processed except in cases of proven technical failure or duplicate debit as verified by payment partners.

The platform shall not be responsible for user input errors, including but not limited to: incorrect consumer number, wrong biller selection, incorrect payment amount, or unauthorized use of user device.

4. Chargeback & Dispute Policy

Users agree that raising false, frivolous, or fraudulent chargeback or payment disputes after successful service delivery shall constitute misuse of payment system and breach of these Terms. LegalBillz reserves the right to:

• Submit complete transaction logs, IP records, device details, authentication data, and digital consent records to banks, payment gateways, law enforcement authorities, or regulatory bodies.
• Initiate appropriate civil and/or criminal action in case of fraudulent dispute or intentional misuse of the platform.

Service delivery for bill payment shall be deemed completed upon successful transaction confirmation and biller acknowledgment.

5. Limitation of Liability

LegalBillz shall not be liable for:

• Banking system downtime
• Payment gateway technical failures beyond platform control
• Bill fetch inaccuracies from biller systems
• Unauthorized device access due to user negligence
• Phishing, SIM swap, malware, or customer endpoint security issues

Users are solely responsible for maintaining confidentiality of their login credentials, OTPs, and device access.

6. Fraud Prevention & Monitoring

The platform reserves the right to monitor transactions for suspicious patterns, temporarily suspend accounts or payments, request additional verification, and report suspected fraud to financial institutions or cybercrime authorities without prior notice.

7. Record Validity & Electronic Evidence

Users acknowledge that server records, electronic logs, OTP authentication records, payment gateway responses, and digital acknowledgements shall be treated as final and binding evidence of transaction authorization. Such electronic records shall be admissible in legal proceedings under applicable Indian evidence laws.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in New Delhi, India.

9. Modification of Terms

LegalBillz reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
